Workshop for Youth
We are pleased to announce a great, new, free workshop for children and young people between the ages of 10 and 18 at the Dietrich Bonhoeffer Library
Storytelling & Illustration
The workshop invites young storytellers and illustrators (and those who want to become one) to work together to create illustrated stories as a total work of art.
To do this, we will first look at favorite short stories from the library’s analog and digital collection (or the Internet) and share with each other in small groups. We will use these stories, or our own adaptations/further developments, (also using openly accessible AI) to create graphic stories, comics, illustrations or paintings. These are digitized together with the participants and prepared for the exhibition. The workshop is geared towards reading, understanding and developing stories coherently and implementing and exhibiting them creatively, using analog and digital means.
This workshop will take place on three weekends in March and May 2025 and is free of charge. It is highly recommended that you attend all three weekends.

We are the Klingende Museum, the Haus der Nachbarschaftschafft and the Dietrich Bonhoeffer Library in collaboration with the Encounter network. We have come together as part of the “Together Digital! Creative with Media” of the German Library Association to offer two workshops for children and young people in spring 2025. The second workshop: “Wild Writing” begins in May 2025. Details will be announced soon.
