Are you ready to suprise yourself with your ability to play and improvise?
This two day workshop builds on the workshop: “An Introduction to the Art of Storytelling”, but is also open for newcomers. It targets adults with an interest in traditional narratives such as folk tales, fairy tales and myths. We will explore together the methods of telling a story through visualization techniques, improvisation, playfulness and retelling as core principles of contemporary oral storytelling. Participants will learn the essential steps of storytelling and how to apply these techniques in their presentations and communication.
Methods:➢ Traditional and improvised stories➢ Introduction to the understanding of orality, images, symbols and metaphors➢ Use of storyboard and story mapping➢ Awareness of body language and voice➢ Reflexion
Participants:
The workshop is open to anyone interested in the oral form of storytelling. No previous experience is required. The workshop will be held in English.
